Patriotic Nails

Sorry I've been vacant from the blogosphere recently, I've been super busy with the new move but finally got my apartment sorted and WOW I have fallen in love with the place, after all the stress it's caused I'm so excited to have somewhere to call home again, i'll upload pics for you guys soon. Plus, to make me smile even more, only ten more days at my old job and i'm so happy to be leaving and moving on to bigger and better things. This in turn, also means my blogging will be back on track very soon, it's so lovely to come online and read all your lovely comments they really make my day :) Now with it been the Queen's Jubilee on Tuesday and my last day at work tomorrow so an extra long weekend for most of us *insert beaming smile*, I decided to get in the patriotic spirit and paints my nails red, white and blue lol, using all models own nail polishes (yes I do have an obsession with models own polish).

My Mac Lipstick Collection

Hello beauties, now one of my favourite posts to read or watch on youtube are peoples lipstick collections, being quite the lipstick junkie myself there is just something about a shiny new lipstick that just puts a smile on my face, the lovely packaging and beautiful colours, and even the smell, hello YSL rouge volupte, yum! So I thought i'd share my collection with you, now instead of going through all my lipsticks as I own quite a few, I thought i'd start with my Mac lipstick collection. Now I currently own 14 of these little beauties all various shades and formulas but I would say nudes/pinks are my most go to shades and I love the cremesheen and amplified formulas as I find they don't tend to be as drying and are alot creamier than some other formula's. Now I know some of you may think 14 is alot and to others 14 may not seem many, but to me I just love the option of a different colour on a morning, and tend to change my lipstick according to mood/outfit, yes I did say mood, the brighter the lipstick generally the more chirpy i'm feeling that day, the whole you cant wear a bright lip rule during the day does not apply to me and I will wear any colour I feel appropriate to my attire or ever fluctuating mood lol. Now on to my collection :)

Nudes

I do also have Ruby Woo which is a gorgeous red but I cannot find this anywhere :(. I would definitely say the pictures with flash are more true to colour. If you would like a more in depth review of any of these shades feel free to ask. Is there any must have shades you would recommend? xoxo

Nails of the day - Models Own Jade Stone

Hello beautifuls, seen as though the weather is currently scorching, I felt the nails definitely need brightening up. I was going to go for an orange/peach but instead I found an old gem in my nail polish collection in the form of jade stone from the Models Own collection, I decided to add a little glitter to the polish so added Models Own emerald city to the ring finger. I do love the models own polishes, they give a nice opaque colour and stay chip free for a good 5 days (using a top coat of course) and are fairly cheap at £5 a pop. However, boots and the models own website regularly have offers on where you can get them cheaper if you buy a few at a time. I would definitely recommend you try them out, I actually have quite the collection of these polishes now so if you would like me to do a post on these polishes just ask :)

OOTN

Hello dolls, you all have a good weekend? me and some of the girls headed to Blackpool for a friends birthday, a day mixed with candy floss and the pleasurebeach and a night of cocktails and dancing, made for an amazing weekend and a very poorly head Sunday morning lol. Just thought I'd share a few pictures with you lovely ladies (and guys). We were very lucky the sun shone for most of the day and no rain what so ever and so I've been told the weather is staying this way, which gets me very excited for summer. Think bbq's, icecream, sandles, picnics beaches and golden tans, wow excitement :)

The perfect nude lipstick- YSL rouge volupte 2 (sensual silk)

Hello there my lovelies sorry I haven't blogged all week, been super busy at work and getting every thing ready for the big move next month. However, I did have a chance to pop to debenhams after work and pick up some amazing products which I will review for all my gorgeous followers. This is most definitely a product rave, as I am always searching for the perfect lipstick, the perfect nude, pink, red and so on and I have most definitely found my number one nude. I must own around 12 nude lipsticks and in my time I wouldn't like to count how many I've tried, but of them all this is my absolute favourite. Rouge volupte lipsticks by YSL are amazing, they are the most moisturising lipsticks I have ever used and glide on your lips like butter, they smell like watermelon and come in the most beautiful packaging of any lipstick I have come across, it's so amazing I'm reluctant to throw away the empty stick when I'm finished with it lol. I currently own 3 of these lipsticks number 7, 9 and 13 but this is my all time favourite.

Sensual Silk is a beautiful creamy nude with a slight pinkish tone, it really is the perfect combination of colours not too nude that you look like you belong in a morgue, or you've got concealer lips yak, but nude enough to stay out of the pink zone. It is extremely pigmented and will give even the most pigmented lips an opaque colour in just one swipe, as for staying power it does not stay on a lengthy period of time but I enjoy reapplying this lipstick that much its no task to me at all. The only downside to the product is the price, £23 is expensive for a lippie but for this little beauty I'd certainly pay it again. xoxo

The Clear Cube, (acrylic make up organiser )

Hello ladies you all have a good weekend? Well I got home from work today to find a huge parcel awaiting my arrival, in the form of the clear cube that I had purchased on Wednesday, so super fast delivery which I was very impressed with. All last week I have rushed home from work to see if my parcel had arrived, impatient much? lol, but this was definitely worth the wait. I fell in love with this makeup organiser when I watched the Kardashians and seen Kims beautiful make up storage sat all neatly in her bathroom and I knew I needed this in my life. I have ponded over this for quite some time as it is a luxury item and not something I really need but really really wanted and I finally caved and decided to purchase it. Its actually bigger than I thought and although expensive you can tell the acrylic is of a high standard and is an item that will last the test of time. I also received 4 free dividers with my purchase 2 x dividers and 2 grid dividers, If anyone would like the link to where I purchased this just send me an email :)
Snowie seemed to take a liking to the clear cube lol

Here is my make up all neatly stored in my clear cube, I absolutely love this organiser and I do find it makes getting ready on a morning that little bit easier. Do any of you ladies have a clear cube or what are you using to store your makeup? xoxo

Urban Decay 24/7 5 travel size pencils (metallic set)

Now I am a huge fan of Urban decay 24/7 pencils and have a few that I love, but I am reluctant to go on a major splurge and get them in every colour, it's not that I wouldn't want to as they have the most beautiful colour range, it's just I find them expensive. Dont get me wrong a staple black eyeliner I will buy expensive as I will use this almost everyday but coloured eyeliners for me are something I only use on occasion, and I refuse to pay £14 a pop for something that I will hardly use. This little set contains some staple shades that can be mixed with any look, one black colour perversion which really is the blackest of all black eyeliners and 4 gorgeous metallic colours. I would honestly say these are some of the best eye pencils I have used and for £17.99 for this set you can't go wrong.

Perversion
(Intense matte black )

Ransom
(iridescent metallic purple)
Radium
(Vibrant shimmery blue)
Woodstock
(bright sparkly fuchsia)
Junkie
(metallic green with gold shimmer)
These really are the most amazing eye pencils, they are so creamy and  really do glide onto your eyes, dont tug or pull, are are waterproof. Now i'm not sure if they stay on 24 hours as I wash my makeup off before bed, but they do stay put all day, and for the amazing cheap price tag it gives you the perfect opportunity to get experimental with your bright shades for the summer without breaking the bank :) xoxo

Face of the night

Hello dolls, just thought i'd share with you this night time makeup look, I tend to keep my eye make up minimal on a day to day basis and swear by benefits eyebright pencil and a few coats of mascara. Eyebright is really an amazing product and with being abit of a nightowl and not getting to sleep till very late, and then being back up at the crack of dawn every morning, anything that can make me look more awake and less like the living dead is a god send lol. I decided to go for a classic heavy smoked eye and nude lip, I also skipped on any bright blush and stuck to contoured cheekbones with a highlight, making the eyes the statement of the face.

Items I used to create this look are

Face
Nivea natural beauty radiance moisturiser (perfect make up base)
Ysl Touche Eclat shade 2
Mac Studiosculpt foundation in NC30
Mac Studiofix powder in NC30
Nars Laguna Bronzer (contour)
Nars Multiple (used as a highlight/definition)

Eyes
Urban decay primer potion
Mac eyeshadow in electra
Mac eyeshadow in silver ring
Mac eye pencil in smoulder
Eyelure false lashes (no idea to the number as I no longer have the box but i'm sure these were Cheryl Cole ones???)
Duo Adhesive
Tweezerman eyelash curler
No7 Exquisite Curl mascara
Smashbox brow tech quad for eyes (used taupe)

Lips
Carmex cherry lipbalm
(I must review this product it is AMAZING)
Mac lipstick in Creme d Nude.

Rimmel wake me up foundation

Now I know this foundation has been blogged to death but thought i'd give my two cents anyway. Foundation is a product I will only ever purchase by high end companys due to my sensitive skin and I haven't actually tried a drugstore foundation for a long long time, but with the hype surrounding this foundation and it been on offer in asda for around £5 I thought I would give it a go. Now I don't particularly have bad skin I very rarely have any kind of breakouts, I do have dark circles buts that's nothing my trusty Touche Eclat cant hide, yet I do tend to go for medium to heavy coverage foundations as I like the flawless finish it gives. However for work I feel my foundation is a little heavy and I have been looking for something a little more dewy and natural. I have been swayed towards Chanel vitalumiere aqua, and was going to Selfridges be colour matched this weekend and now i'm really happy I never as this foundation is amazing and well £5 compared to £31 for chanel an absolute bargain. I have used this foundation for around a week, and I can say I love it, it smells lovely, really fresh and fruity and gives just enough coverage so my skin looks flawless but it actually feels as if I have no makeup on, which is amazing. I love the finish of this foundation and the slight iridescence really makes your face glow, but not in a shimmery glitterball way, it isnt really noticeable on the skin it really is the tiniest flecks ever but It just helps give you that fresh faced dewy glow. I put this foundation on at 7.00 am and at 6pm when I finish work it's still there, perfectly in place, I do set my foundation with a powder but this has still lasted the test of time.
Combined with SPF 15 and pump applicator it's definitely a massive thumps up to Rimmel on producing this little beauty. I do have dry skin and this is the perfect foundation for me, if you have oily skin this may not be the case, if anyone with oily skin has tried this foundation please comment below, it would be interesting to see how it has worked for you. Just for reference i'm a NC30 in Mac and I chose the shade 200 soft beige and its the perfect colour, however the next shade up is very dark compared to this so when im tanned I may have to buy both shades and mix them. Overall a great product for the price and I think this may just be my new go to foundation for daily casual use xoxo

It's one of my best friends birthdays and we are all off to Leeds for the night, I am actually in process of moving here so I am really loving lots of nights out here so I can get to know the city better. Below is a picture of me and one of friends before we went out (sorry for bad quality this picture was taken and uploaded on my blackberry)

Black Blazer - Warehouse
Bralet top - Topshop
High Waisted Blue Skirt - River Island

OOTD

Hello ladies you got any exciting plans for this long bank holiday weekend? I just thought I'd do a quick outfit of the day post and show you what I wore today. I had originally just wore the dress and jacket, but I thought it felt too girlie and I wanted to make it a little more edgy so added long socks and military style boots. Now I love pretty feminine looks and Audrey Hepburn is one of my style icons, but I also love mixing different looks together and creating my own style. I like anything from boho to biker, taking inspiration from all genres, I think as long as you feel confident in what your wearing that's all that matters. I added a bright pink lip for extra effect with my favourite bright lipstick ever girl about town by Mac.

Dress -Topshop
Denim Jacket - Topshop
Socks - New Look
Boots - Office
Tassle Bag - River Island

What are are your favourite styles to take inspiration from? or do you like to mix and match and create your own?
